Pop up box cards are so fun to make and paired with a Lawn Fawn Christmas, you can’t go wrong!

ree

For this card, I started by stamping out almost every image in the Christmas Dreams stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I used a Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad and 65 lb. white cardstock from Recollections. I then colored up the images with alcohol markers.

I have the Lawn Fawn scalloped box card pop-up die, but I thought the images seemed to fit better in a taller, thinner box card. So I went on YouTube in search of a tutorial and I found one from YouTuber Meg Loven, I’ll link her channel below. To construct the box I used a piece of maroon colored cardstock from Recollections, and followed the instructions in her video.

Once I had the box put together, I went on to cut out my images with my Scan ‘N Cut and lined the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I used papers from the DCWV Very Merry 6”x6” paper pad to go on the panels of the box card. I also stamped out two rug images right onto the patterned paper for the cat and dog beds. I then arranged the images onto the card and glued them down using Tombow Mono Liquid glue.

For my sentiment, I heat embossed a Christmas phrase stamp by Momenta in white embossing powder onto some dark green Recollections cardstock. I cut around the sentiment, leaving a slight border and then used a little bit of Evergreen Bough distress oxide ink along the edges of the paper. I also used the bow stamp included in the Christmas Dreams stamp set to create a bow embellishment, heavily coated with clear Wink of Stella and added it above the sentiment.

For the outside of the box card, I used a different paper from the paper pad for the other panels. I colored up the cute little bear in a sleigh from Lawn Fawn’s Oh What Fun stamp set. I attached everything to the outside of the box and for a final touch, added some snowflake sequins I found at the Dollar Tree.

Finally, I paired the card with a shiny gold envelope.

Hi there! This post focuses on a set of fall cards, which can be easily adjusted to fit any occasion. In my case, I left the outside free of a sentiment and stamped a thank you sentiment on the inside; but I also think a simple banner on the front, with any type of sentiment would be nice for just about any occasion.

ree

To start, I chose Lawn Fawn’s Happy Harvest stamp set to pair with the 6”x6” Echo Park A Perfect Autumn paper pad.

I stamped out some pumpkins, crows, and scarecrows with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto some Recollections 65 lb. kraft cardstock. With the help of my cat Bean, I colored the images with my alcohol markers to coordinate with the patterned papers.

ree

I then used my Scan ‘N Cut to cut out the images and lined the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker.

Once the images were colored, I chose the patterned papers and decided to layer them on some Kraft cardstock as well. I cut three A2 card panels out of the Kraft, measuring 4.25”x5.5” and added a different patterned paper to each panel, measuring 4”x5.25”.

Coloring on the kraft cardstock kept my images on the darker side so when thinking of how I wanted this card to come together, I knew I wanted to incorporate a bright, but soft autumn sky. To achieve that, I made a stencil by cutting a curved line out of some scrap cardstock and used Distress Ink in the colors Shabby Shutters and Scattered Straw. I then alternated between the two colors and blended them with a foam blending tool.

To create the focal panel, I took the ink blended sky and cut it down into approximately 4”x2.75” rectangles. In order to complete the scene, I used some brown knit patterned paper from a Ms. Sparkle & Co. paper pad and stitched hillside borders from Lawn Fawn to create the ground. I then arranged my images and glued them down with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue.

Before I glued the focal panel down, I matted it to a 4.25”x3” kraft cardstock rectangle, and then centered that onto the main A2 sized panel.

I finished off the inside with the “Many thanks” sentiment from the Happy Harvest stamp set.

I was recently part of an awesome 13 day Halloween hop on Instagram hosted by @girl.gone.papercrafter. It was a super fun experience to be a part of! And of course, since it was Halloween, a Nightmare Before Christmas themed card was the first thing that popped into my head.

First, I stamped the images from Kindred Stamps "Holidays are a Nightmare" and some pumpkins from Lawn Fawn's "Pick of the Patch" onto 65 lb. Recollections cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored them with alcohol markers.

From there, I knew I wanted this to be a popup/shadow box card. So after a minute of YouTube searching, I found a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire (linked below). To make the card base, I used 110 lb. black Recollections card stock.

ree

The iconic spiral hill seemed like the perfect image to include on the inside. I trimmed down a panel of white card stock to 5.5" by approximately 3.75" to fit inside the shadow box portion. I free handed the landscape and fussy cut all the pieces out of 65 lb. black card stock. For the moon, I used a circle die and pale yellow card stock.

ree

I then used wilted violet and black soot distress oxide ink to create the sky on the white panel. As well as fossilized amber and faded jeans to give dimension to moon, hill, and surrounding landscape.

ree

After that, I layered the pieces together and glued them down with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid glue and inserted the image into the shadow box.

ree

For the front of the card, I arranged the images onto some Ms. Sparkle and Co. Halloween paper and added some black and white twine. For an extra spooky embellishment, I attached a plastic spider onto the twine with more liquid glue. Then I popped up the panel with some foam tape.

The sentiment banner was from the Recollections Vintage Halloween stamp set from this year, which I heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and also popped up with foam tape.

Moving on to the inside, I added some faces to the pumpkins with Versamark ink, then embossed them with Lawn Fawn's glow in the dark embossing powder.

ree

Finally, I arranged the remaining images and left room for a message.
