Of course I couldn't do princess cards without some villains as well! And as soon as I seen these, I had the perfect sentiment in mind for the inside of the card.

ree

These evil cuties are from Sweet Stamp Shop's Queen and Wicked stamp sets. The sentiment was a freebie from Lawn Fawn for my birthday. :)

I die cut the A2 panels with Lawn Fawn's stitched rectangle stackables from some 110 lb. Recollections card stock.

I used the same ink blending technique for the backgrounds as I did for my princess cards. With a stencil, distress oxides, and a blending tool, I started in the center and faded out the ink towards the edges in a circular pattern.

I colored the images with a mix of Zig brush markers and Gansai Tambi watercolors. Then I fussy cut the images and popped them up with some foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine black ink under each image.

For the inside, I used an alpha block set from Sweet Stamp Shop to make the sentiment "I hope it's wicked" I thought it went perfectly with these devious divas! :)

*I got a smudge of paint near the sentiment on this card and made it worse trying to fix it. So instead of messing with it further, I heat embossed the sentiment with some white detail embossing powder onto some black cardstock and covered it up! There's always a fix haha!

The last step was to attach the card panels to the card bases with my ATG gun.

Its no secret to anyone who knows me that I am a Disney fanatic, so these adorable little princesses from Sweet Stamp Shop were a must have!

ree

The stamp sets I used were Dream Princess and Believe Princess along with their corresponding sentiments.

I colored the images with a mix of copics and Blick studio brush markers and fussy cut the images.

The largest stitched rectangle stackable by Lawn Fawn was perfect for creating the A2 card panels. I did this for all except one; I used a scrap panel I had laying around that was a little short, but I didn't realized until I went to attach it to the base.

For the backgrounds, I used the ink blending technique with stencils that I seen Kristina Werner do on her YouTube channel. I used stencils from some Stamp & Stencil sets from Recollections.

I used distress oxide inks and my ink blending tools to blend the ink in a circular pattern. I tried my best to start dark in the middle and fade out the ink towards the edges. I chose colors that I thought blended well together and seemed to match with each princess.

I popped up each image with some Scotch foam tape and centered it on the panel. Then I used Versafine black ink to stamp the sentiment underneath.

Lastly, I attached the panels to some premade Recollections card bases with my ATG gun.

*I didn't realize until I had already done the ink blending that this panel was too short, but there was no going back! I just found a matching card base and centered the panel on the front. I think it actually turned out pretty cute! It kind of breaks up the white space and adds a little extra pop of color. :)

If you're looking to make some quick and easy, but super gorgeous looking card sets, the Ornate Background stamp by Simon Says Stamp is perfect!

ree

First, I cut down some 65 lb. Recollections card stock into A2 sized card panels, in various colors.

I then used the MISTI stamping tool and Versamark ink to stamp to panels.

I thought Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder was perfect against the darker backgrounds. I covered the image with the powder and then used my heat tool to emboss the image.

The benefit of this background stamp is that it is so versatile. Any sentiment would work nicely on the front of these cards. In my case, I chose a few from the stamp sets Card Phrases by Stampibilities and Everyday Sayings by Hero Arts.

Again I used Versamark and the gold embossing powder, but this time onto some black cardstock. Once they were heat embossed, I cut flags onto one end or left them as rectangles. I placed them off to the side of the card and popped them up with Scotch foam tape.

Lastly, I used my ATG gun and attached them to premade card bases by Recollections.
