More graduation cards! :)

These fun and easy cards were made very similarly to the cards in my last post, with a few differences.

ree

I purchased an SVG cut file from an Etsy shop called Digital Trove (link below). With the Brother Canvas Workspace, I converted the SVG file to FCM format so it worked with my Brother Scan N' Cut. Using a flashdrive, I put the design on the machine and adjusted it to fit onto an A2 sized card.

For the patterned paper, I used the Simon Says Stamp Ornate background stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed some gold tinsel embossing powder by Ranger on the cardstock.

Once I cut the design, I used contact paper to keep on the pieces in place. I cut another A2 sized piece of cardstock in the same colors to layer underneath. I then used Fabri-Tac glue, as it that it doesn't warp the paper, to attach the two pieces together. Finally, I removed the cut out, leaving the negative image behind.

I then used Lawn Fawn's stitched rectangle stackables for the stitched edge.

Once the front panel was complete, I attached it to a 110 lb. cardbase with my ATG gun.

For this last card, I used the positive image left behind from the other card and layered it onto a black stitched panel.

Inside, each card is stamped with the sentiment "Congratulations, You Did It!"

It's graduation time! And for me that means a lot of grad parties coming up real soon. I wanted something simple and easy, but still cute!

ree

For these cards, I knew right away I wanted some scripty text...so off to Etsy I went. I found the perfect SVG file from the shop okieheartparty (link listed below).

Before I cut the design using my Brother Scan N' Cut, I wanted to jazz up the cardstock to make it a little fancier. I used the Ornate Background stamp from Simon Says Stamp on a few different colors of Recollections 65 lb. cardstock. I stamped it with Versamark ink and heat embossed the design with silver embossing powder by Ranger.

To cut the design I converted the SVG file to FCM in Brother Canvas Workspace, transferred it onto a flashdrive and plugged that into my machine. From there, I messed with the sizing until it fit an A2 sized card.

The front panel was cut from 65 lb. Recollections black cardstock with the largest Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle stackable.

I used Fabri-Tac glue to adhere the sentiment; I found that it doesn't warp the paper. I tried Ranger Multimedia Matte but found it warped the paper and dried before I was able to put glue across the entire piece. I also think Tombow Mono Multi Liquid glue would have worked and stays tacky so you wouldn't have to worry about it drying before you got glue on the whole thing.

In the end, I adhered the panel to a 110 lb. white card base with my ATG gun and stamped the inside with a "Congratulations, You Did It!" sentiment.

Little Bundle from Lawn Fawn is one of the cutest stamp sets for making the sweetest baby cards!

ree

I colored these images for day 11 of the Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge and they paired perfectly with the Lullaby paper pad from Pebbles that I picked up from Joann Fabrics.

ree

I was inspired to create this card after seeing a Halloween card done by cardmaker Jess Crafts on YouTube.

The layout she used was centered around three small Doodlebug icon stickers, which I swapped out for these little baby outfits.

I used my 9" paper trimmer to cut down a few different patterns from the paper pad.

I popped up the top panel with some Scotch foam tape to accommodate the twine and then attached that to the main panel.

I created the pink and blue sentiment flags with some coordinating 65 lb. Recollections cardstock.

Lastly, I used my ATG gun to attach the main panel to some premade Recollections card bases.
