Masculine cards are sometimes a struggle; the amount of options via stamp sets and dies are somewhat limited, especially in my stash of supplies. So for my dad's birthday card, I had to think outside of the box using what I had available.

In the end, I went with a golf theme. For the golf ball I used my Sizzix circle dies, the smallest in the set, and a Cuttlebug dotted embossing folder. I flipped the circle over once it was embossed so the dots looked like they were pushed into the ball. Then I used some frayed burlap distress oxide to give the ball some dimension.

For the wood grain, I used the Darice wood grain embossing folder. I put some Lawn Fawn walnut ink on the embossing folder, sandwiched the paper, and ran it through my Cuttlebug.

I chose varying stitched rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn to fancy up the panels. For the sky, I used the MFT mini cloud edges and broken china distress oxide. I layered some grass I cut out using Lawn Fawn grassy hillside border dies. Once again, adding some dimension with distress oxides in lucky clover and peeled paint.

I made the golf tee by referencing a photo on Google and colored it with some alcohol markers (Copic, Blick, and Recollections).

Finally, I layered everything together and added it to an aqua card base. For the sentiment I used the tag from the Mama Elephant favor bag, peacock feathers distress oxide, and the happy birthday from Sweet Stamp Shop's Grand Wizard.

Inside I used Milo's ABCs and year seven by Lawn Fawn to create the sentiment "hope your birthday is PAR-fect!"

Even though Easter is over, these cute little bunnies from Mama Elephant are extremely versatile and perfect for spring cards; I also found that they paired perfectly with some sentiments from the Everyday Sayings stamp set from Hero Arts.

I used some Doodlebug plaid paper from an older spring collection and my Lawn Fawn outside in stitched square stackables for the front of the card. I popped up the front panel with some Scotch foam tape and colored the bunnies from the Little Bunny Agenda, with some bright Zig brush markers.

I used some corresponding distress oxide inks and faded them up from the bottom of each square and glued the die cut bunnies on top. I embossed the sentiment with white detail embossing powder by Recollections, onto the smallest Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner.

I finished off the inside of the card with a simple "Get well soon" sentiment from the same stamp set.

I was asked on Instagram to do a surprise pocket letter swap and I chose a Harry Potter theme.

I love Harry Potter and I had recently found the remainder of a Harry Potter scrapbook kit from Creative Imaginations and thought it was perfect to pair with The Greeting Farm's Honor Students and Magic Class stamp sets.

I used some printables from a YouTube channel called Muggle Magic, my colored stamped images, and some stickers from the kit to create this pocket letter.

I tried to pick some goodies from my stash to match the theme, including some Bean Boozled Jelly Bellys to represent Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans! :) I made the tassel using some yarn in traditonal Gryffindor colors. I found the wands at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry section for $0.75, I bought them all! XD

P.S. If anyone has any tips for getting a glare-less photo of a pocket letter, I would love to hear them!
