Hello!
Today I tried something completely out of my element, coloring an entire Copic scene as a background for this cute digital stamp from Kinda Cute by Patricia.
To start my card, I sized the stamp in Inkscape to fit on the card stock panel of an A2 card.
Then I printed the image and trimmed down my panel to the size I wanted.
From there, I used an N0 Copic marker to sketch out the little witch‘s lair. I included a table with a crystal ball and candles, some shelves with spell books and potions, and a flying broom leaning against the wall.
I set all those magical goodies back in an alcove bordered by a stone archway, with the witch and her cauldron in the front.
I used neutral, warm, and cool grays to color in the majority of the image and some bright red violets for the magic potion in the witch’s cauldron.
Once I finished coloring my scene, I used the How You Bean? Candy Corn Add-on from Lawn Fawn to heat emboss the sentiment ”Happy Halloween.”
I layered the colored panel onto a bright pink piece of card stock and added the whole thing to a 110 lb. card base.
As a final step, I used a white gel pen to add little dots for some additional bits of magic floating up from the cauldron.
