Autumn Leaves

Hello!
Winter is fast approaching, I've already broken out my winter coat and I'm still not over Halloween! What ever happened to sweater weather? But before I move on to Christmas cards, fall themed cards are on my agenda. ššš
This card is a relatively clean and simple card with some added gold splatter for a bit of pizzazz!
To start, I took the Tropicals watercolor set from Prima and some Strathmore watercolor paper to create a fall colored background. I wet the paper with clean water and started dropping in red, yellow, and orange.
I dried the background with my heat gun and added some glimmer mist. Once the paper was completely dry, I used some leaf dies from my stash and cut them out from the background.
To add a little more texture, I took some brown watercolor from the same set and added some splatter across the leaves.
I set the leaves aside to dry and moved onto to the main panel. I trimmed down a piece of 65 lb. white Recollections card stock to 5.5" x 4.25" and die cut it with Lawn Fawn's Just Stitching Rectangles, which I haven't cut apart.
I then added some gold Delicata ink and clean water to my glass mat and picked it up with a large paint brush, sprinkling the ink across the panel.
I also ran the ink pad along the sides of the card stock to get a nice gold edge.
For the sentiment, I used Lawn Fawn's Baked with Love stamp set to piece together the saying "Happy Birthday," which I heat embossed in gold onto a kraft banner. I added a smaller banner using DCWV Metallic card stock and Lawn Fawn's Everyday Banners dies.
I used some brown jute from Dollar Tree to tie a bow through a wooden button I purchased from Hobby Lobby and began to assemble the card.
I tried to place the leaves so that they didn't seem too uniform and used Art Glitter Glue to attach them to the main panel. I added everything else using the same glue, and then attached it to an A2 sized white card base.
That's it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
